We have another litter due in October, so we'll be announcing the take-home dates soon!
Little Fluffy Friends is a Mini Schnauzer company breeder licensed in Florida. We sincerely care about our dogs and puppies. They get a lot of attention and love. We raise them at home in a clean environment, not in a kennel.
We choose to breed Miniature Schnauzers because we love how smart they are, loyal, affectionate, and they are so spunky! Our mini schnauzers are stable, intelligent, and calm. They shine with exuberant health and lovely temperaments.
Of the three Schnauzers, only the Miniature is classified as a terrier, the other two being regarded as working breeds. German in origin, it is believed the Miniature was created in the 1890s by crossing small specimens of the Standard Schnauzer with either the Affenpinscher or Miniature Pinscher – or perhaps both. The breed name comes from the German word Schnauze meaning “snout or muzzle” or perhaps, more specifically from Schnauzbart meaning “a conspicuous moustache,” a characteristic of all Schnauzers. Starting out in life as a tough barnyard ratter, the Miniature Schnauzer’s engaging personality soon won a place indoors for him as a family pet where he’s been firmly entrenched ever since.
Friendly, intelligent and willing to please, the Miniature Schnauzer is spirited but obedient.
Alert and active, the Miniature Schnauzer is a delightful companion and a super watchdog. A daily walk is all the exercise he needs but be forewarned, he’ll keep going as long as you do.
The Miniature Schnauzer will measure from 12-14 in (30-36 cm) and weigh approximately 14 lb (6.5 kg).
The Miniature sports a hard, wiry outer coat and close undercoat. His non-shedding coat makes him a good choice for fussy housekeepers as well as allergy sufferers.
The recognized colours are salt-and-pepper, black-and-silver or solid black.
The head, neck, ears, chest, tail and body coat must be plucked (hand-stripped) for showing. Beard and leg furnishings need frequent combing to keep them free of mats. Some owners avail themselves of the services of a professional groomer to keep that smart Schnauzer appearance.
Meet mom and dad! Claire and Jamie! We love raising miniature schnauzer puppies and we attempt to socialize them early. Our puppies are raised in our home, not outside or without human contact. We spend many hours with our puppies, holding, petting, and caring for their needs. We let the puppies run around our home to get their exercise (supervised of course.), and also let our kids hold and play with the puppies so that the puppies will be accustomed to children. We start the house-breaking process as soon as they are old enough to learn, to make it easier on their future human companions. All this makes our puppies grow up to be well-adjusted happy animals that are a joy to everyone who meets them. They have the best temperaments of any dogs we have ever seen and we know you will agree as well. Little Fluffy Friends Miniature Schnauzers has an outstanding reputation and history of producing the finest miniature schnauzers in Florida.

Yes! The Miniature Schnauzer is a hypoallergenic breed. These canines do not produce a lot of dander and they only shed their fur on rarest of occasions and in negligible amounts. This is a great breed for allergy sufferers.
Miniature Schnauzers are known for their extremely low shedding potential. These pooches only shed their fur on an occasional basis and that too in a very limited manner.
An ideal pet dog for first-time owners is the one who is easy to handle, has low maintenance needs and who is fairly sociable and friendly in nature. The Miniature Schnauzers are very easy to train and they have a loving and warm personality but this is also true that these canines have extremely high grooming requirements. Hence, if novice or first-time owners are ready to take up all the responsibilities that come along with this dog, then a Miniature Schnauzer can be a decent breed for them.
Their small size and lack of aggression restrict them to be a great guard dog, but they do make an excellent watchdog instead. These pooches can efficiently look after their home and property and can effectually alert their owners in case of an intruder, trespasser, or burglar.
Well-trained Miniature Schnauzers are known to get along just fine with the other dogs. They are gentle and kind to the other canines and will see them as their friends. But if these pooches have not received proper guidance from their owners and they are not socialized well enough with other dogs, then sometimes the Mini-Schnauzers can be a bit aggressive to other canines as well.
The relation of the Miniature Schnauzers with other household animals such as cats is heavily dependent on their upbringing or how their owner decides to raise them. If these pooches are taught at a young age only to mix well with others and to be friendly and kind to others, then these pooches will have no problem getting along with other household pets. But without the proper guidance, they will not get along that well with other animals and will remain reserved with them.
Yes! The Miniature Schnauzer is a great apartment dog. This pooch adjusts to the apartment lifestyle fairly quickly and it mostly remains highly calm, relaxed, and contented inside its home.
Our babies are adopted quickly, so reach out to reserve your "furever" little friend or to ask any questions.
